Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal/conference for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is Microsoft Word (doc or docx).
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Detailed instructions for preparation of the paper can be found in the template, which can be found on the Business Trends conference page.

The title of the paper should be written in Czech/Slovak or English (English version is needed in Czech and Slovak papers). It is expected the length of your paper from 8 to 12 pages with spaces including the abstracts, bibliography, and key words. Citing in the text in accordance with the American Psychological Association (APA 7th) style.

Papers that successfully pass the peer review process will be published in the conference proceedings, or the journal Business Trends indexed in the ERIH+ database. The Conference Scientific Committee recommends submitting the conference proceedings for indexing in the WOS database. Papers written in English are preferred for publication in the conference proceedings. The Conference Scientific Committee will decide where the papers will be published. Authors may indicate the preferred location of the article (in the proceedings or the journal) when submitting the paper in the window Comments for the Editor.

The author is required to properly cite all sources and other authors in submitted papers.

The author must not modify, distort or otherwise change the research data in the paper so as to materially affect the conclusions drawn from the research results.

The author of the paper is required to include only valid and true affiliations of all co-authors of the paper (name, institution, contacts).
In case of a serious misconduct resulting from a violation of the ethical principles of the Trends in Business Conference, the published paper will be withdrawn. The author and co-authors may be excluded from any future participation and publication in the conference proceedings.

The author of a paper must inform the editor without undue delay of any apparent error in his/her accepted paper. The author is obliged to cooperate with the editor in any retraction or correction of the paper.
