About journal

The journal "Business Trends" is a peer-reviewed scientific periodical published by the Faculty of Economics of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. e-ISSN 2788-0079.

The journal's mission is to publish original theoretical and applied research outputs of Czech and foreign authors, especially in business economics and management. However, the journal is also open to contributions oriented interdisciplinarily, because often only in this broad way can the problems of contemporary economic practice be solved (both theoretically and applied) and knowledge of new and innovative practices be brought. The journal is mainly focused on topics including the development of new methods, innovations in application procedures and the latest trends in business economics, management, marketing and finance and accounting.

The journal is intended for a professional audience including:

  • professional and scientific staff of educational institutions focused on the scope of the journal;
  • managers and decision-makers, especially in the corporate sector;
  • students pursuing masters and doctoral studies in the field of business management.

Trends in Business is a methodologically pluralistic journal. It publishes results based on quantitative, qualitative and mixed research, as well as conceptual papers and articles developing theoretical knowledge, presenting empirical hypothesis testing and articles containing case studies. Each article is reviewed anonymously by two reviewers. Reviews are provided by the journal's editorial board. It is not possible to publish an article in the journal that has been published or offered for publication in another journal or book.

The journal was included in ERIH PLUS.
